Hiking for bons vivants

Savoury or light cuisine, strudel or dumplings, a typical snack, the Brettljause, or Mediterranean specialities: the South Tyrolean cuisine offers something for every taste. Hiking in the Dolomites – on the Alpe di Siusi and in the villages of Castelrotto, Siusi and Fiè allo Sciliar – is all about culinary delights.

Hiking enthusiasts go from hut to hut and enjoy traditional South Tyrolean dishes – from dumplings to strudel and hay soups. A special appointment for all bons vivants is the culinary excursion from Siusi to San Osvaldo dedicated to the secrets of the original South Tyrolean strudel.

Another speciality pleasure hikers shouldn't miss is the "Brettljause" with speck, kaminwurz, alpine cheese, steamed potatoes and other delicacies.
